Laina’s Downtown Madison Senior Dream Session

Most of my senior girls want to frolic in flower fields — and don’t get me wrong, I love that shit.

BUT when Laina reached out and said she wanted an urban city session, I was stoked.

Photographing in the city opens up so many creative possibilities. Every parking garage stairwell, crosswalk, and street corner becomes our studio. Buildings and doorways with grand architecture that have been around long before me become the frame for my subject. City lights, pedestrians, and passing cars turn into props that bring the images to life.

Magic was made in the city that night.

When Laina received her gallery she said, “I cannot even believe this is ME in these photos. I am obsessed!”
