“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did. But they will never forget how they made you feel.”

Let’s document what your life feels like.

Senior Photography

Senior Year is such a pivotal time in a young person’s life. It is also a pivotal time for a parent. It is a time when your child is still yours, yet they have somehow become their own person. Documenting this time is important, not just for the yearbook, but important because it is a time of so many “lasts” before they embark on a new journey of firsts. Let’s document your baby before they leave the nest.

Family Photography

Lifestyle photography is about freezing moments in time. Being able to FEEL connection, SEE the details, and HOLD on to the time that is moving too fast. I want you to be able to relive the moments of your life tomorrow and a hundred years from now. Nothing lasts forever except the memories you make. This is your story. and this is your life. You only get one shot at it and I want to make sure that you have proof that you lived well.

Lifestyle photography is about freezing moments in time.  Being able to FEEL connection, SEE the details, and HOLD on to the time that is moving too fast.  I want you to be able to relive the moments of your life tomorrow and a hundred years from now.

This is your story.  Let’s tell it.

Hey, I am Melissa!

Yeah, I’m a photographer—but you probably already know that.
I’m a mom (my favorite title), but beyond that, I’m a gal who likes to go deep. I’m not here for small talk. I want to talk about the real stuff—the messy, beautiful, complicated parts of being human. The late-night, firepit conversations where time disappears and truth shows up. The kind of laughter that leaves your cheeks sore and your stomach aching. And those quiet moments when you look up at the sky and think, damn... this life is something else.

That’s what I want your images to feel like.

This is your life. I’m just the one with the camera, there to remind you how incredible it really is.

When I shoot, I’m not trying to pose you into something you’re not. I want to make space for whatever is actually happening—to capture something that feels familiar and honest when you look back on it years from now.

So if you're into that kind of thing, let’s do it.

And if you’re wondering where I’m located—good. I like to keep a little mystery.
Just kidding (kind of). I grew up in Wisconsin, spent 15 years in Phoenix, Arizona, and now I am back in Wisconsin and get to split my time between two places that feel like home. I photograph families and seniors in both states, and I honestly love the mix.

Testimonials

“Melissa was able to freeze a very special moment in time for my family and the images that she captured are priceless. We didn’t need to sit perfectly posed in front of her camera, we didn’t need to worry about where our hands were or how we should smile... instead we simply loved and laughed together in a beautiful setting and did what we do best as a family - just be “us” The emotions that I felt while viewing our gallery were raw, real and so deeply needed... I went back and forth whether to invest in a pregnancy session and I am so very grateful that I did! Thank you Melissa for capturing what my heart feels every day, you truly have a special gift!!!” –– Tiffany Qualizza

“My experience with Melissa from the beginning was amazing. I had an instant connection with her and knew that she would take, not only the pictures I was wanting, but also incorporate her incredible style and creativity as an artist. I had complete trust in her and she allowed me to be myself and really capture the moments that reflected the the joy I felt being with my first child, bringing her into the world and those precious first meetings with our family. She is truly a beautiful person and its reflected in her work and dedication to her clients. I am forever grateful to her for making our experience so special and unforgettable. Thank you Melissa again for every moment you captured and truly going above and beyond.” –– Jill Pedley
